ATLUS West has revealed that Persona 3 Reload will be released on February 2, 2024. After an unintentional leak in June, fans were thrilled to see the return of this classic Persona game but curious as to when it will be released. On August 23, ATLUS West verified the date and demonstrated how close the game’s release is.

ATLUS West offered a link for preorders along with the release date, which includes both physical and digital copies on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Steam. A DLC pack and a digital art book are available in some of the editions of the digital release that are covered by the preorder.

A new teaser was even released as part of the reveal, showcasing the updated Persona 5-styled graphics and fully animated sequences. The SEES Dorm, Gekkoukan High School, and other well-known locales may all be explored on foot in Persona 3 Reload, unlike Persona 3 Portable, which only allowed for map-based exploration. The combat in Persona 3 Reload will either follow the combat in the original game and Persona 3: FES when party members were handled by the computer with little player input, or it will follow the combat in the subsequent games, where party members can be commanded like in those games.

The unveiling also included a brand-new trailer showcasing the updated Persona 5-styled visuals and fully animated cutscenes. Instead of pointing and clicking on the map to visit Gekkoukan High School, the SEES Dorm, and other well-known locales as in Persona 3 Portable, players can do so in Persona 3 Reload. It is still unknown if party members would be controllable in battle like in later games or if Persona 3 Reload will model its battle system after Persona 3: FES and the original game, where party members were managed primarily by the computer with little player input.
