To the chagrin of the Defiant and many locals, it appears that the Overwatch League has taken a position in this minor controversy and has decided that pronouncing Toronto with a “toe” at the end is the proper way to do it. It’s indisputable that Canadians were grateful for a local hero appearing in the game, a historic location being added as a map to explore, and the recent cinematic showing a member of their family battling against evil opponents in Overwatch 2—toe or no-toe.
