The remaining two teams’ tiebreaker is handled like any other two-team tie. In a three-team tie, the tiebreaker is decided by map differential, round differential, and, if necessary, a best-of-one tiebreaker match if no team has a head-to-head advantage (all teams are 1-1).

In the event of a four-team or more tie, the following tiebreakers are used:

  1. Map differential
  2. Round differential
  3. Map differential among the tied teams
  4. Round differential among the tied teams

Following this procedure, ties must be broken using tiebreakers for the appropriate number of teams if there are still more than three teams involved.

LOUD

In addition to securing a playoff spot, LOUD also secured a top-two finish that ensures a place in the upper bracket quarterfinals.

LOUD can lock in the No. 1 seed with:

  • A win versus Leviatán or a Cloud9 loss to KRU.

Cloud9

In addition to securing a playoff spot, Cloud9 also secured a top-two finish that ensures a spot in the upper bracket quarterfinals.

Cloud9 can lock in the No. 1 seed with:

  • A win versus KRU and a LOUD loss to Leviatán.

NRG Esports

NRG has a playoff spot, but they don’t meet the requirements for a top-two spot. They are guaranteed third place due to their victories in the head-to-head tiebreakers against 100T, FURIA, and Sentinels as well as their advantage on the map.

FURIA

Due to EG’s 0-2 loss to NRG and the map differential tiebreaker, FURIA has clinched a playoff spot despite the 1-2 loss to Sentinels. Depending on whether 100T advances, they will either be seeded fifth or sixth.

Leviatán

Leviatán has qualified for the playoffs as a result of FURIA’s defeat of Sentinels because they will always win the tiebreaker on map differential, even if they lose their final game to LOUD 0-2 overall.

Evil Geniuses

The Evil Geniuses’ chances of making the playoffs are gone as a result of their 0-2 defeat to NRG.

EG can qualify for playoffs with:

  • A MIBR win versus 100T.

KRÜ Esports

KRÜ is ineligible for the playoffs because they were declared out of the running before the start of week eight.

MIMR

After losing to 100T in week eight, MIBR is ineligible for the playoffs.

Sentinels

Sentinels needed to defeat FURIA 2-0, but they were only able to win by a score of 2-1. Then, they required the combined efforts of EG, MIBR, and Leviatán to defeat NRG, 100T, and LOUD, but EG was unable to defeat NRG. Sentinels won’t advance to the playoffs.
