PvP (player versus player) is crucial to Elden Ring. Each time a player opens up their world to others (even a friend), the chances of getting invaded increase. However, there are some rules that players should abide by to keep their integrity intact. These rules are not set by FromSoftware, but players should try to maintain them for a seamless experience for both parties.

Making use of Crimson flasks

Crimson flasks are the best means for players to heal in the game. They can be made by exchanging Golden Seeds at a site of grace and using them while fighting the bosses. However, in PvP duels, players shouldn’t use these Crimson flasks. They should clean up the Crimson flasks before the duel actually begins.

Mana flasks and Wondrous Physick

Mana flasks can be used in PvP, as without them, sorcerers cannot cast spells. However, with Wondrous Physick, things could be complex. Many crystal tears have unique buffs that can negate builds by others. By purifying crystal tears players can take unfair advantages against other players. Since Elden Ring does not have any voice chat, players have to personally text each other and decide to take the high road.

Good gestures

Respecting the opponent is a fundamental aspect of PvP. While several gestures are meant to show respect, some might not go down well with others. So, gestures like kneeling down or clapping sarcastically after clinching the victory can be considered bad practice. While no one is stopping players from doing so, it is a sign of good faith to be respectful and create a friendly atmosphere.
