The first look of League of Legends’ upcoming champion may have just spread over social media—possibly far earlier than it was intended to—due to her ravenous appetite. According to a video posted today on the Big Bad Bear YouTube channel, the official splash image for Briar, the impending hungry jungler about whom fans are anticipating learning more in the coming weeks, has allegedly made its way online.

According to the splash image in the video, Briar is a young vampire with a pale complexion, black clothes that cover her body, forearms, and legs, and unsettlingly white hair with crimson tips. Although the shape of Briar’s face is strikingly similar to that of Vex, Briar has bulging white eyes that lack pupils, suggesting that she is blind. As with Lee Sin, the Blind Monk, Briar’s other senses are therefore presumably enhanced for use in paralyzing her enemies.

Notably, Briar appears to be imprisoned inside a curiously prickly pillory that resembles the item from her first teaser. She has limited head movement, but because her hands are imprisoned in the spikes, it appears as though her actual power is being restrained—or that she has been shackled for her own protection. The leaks claim that at some point during the game, Briar escapes from her prison and obtains a significant boost in power.
Briar will likely have access to a dash, a fright, and some lifestyle across her skills, according to more ability descriptions that have leaked. It is currently unknown whether any of her skills, icons, or descriptions will actually be a part of her toolkit when she is formally added to League because none of them have been displayed in any context.
Neither the source of these leaks nor their accuracy as a representation of how Briar will appear and function on Summoner’s Rift is presently known. There will likely be an official announcement on the release date of this new jungler in the near future.
