BMOC Round 4: Hydra Esports Qualifies for BMPS Season 1

The fourth round of the Battlegrounds Mobile Open Championship (BMOC) is underway, with invited and qualified teams competing for glory and Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS) Season 1 slots. The first day of the event was full of surprises, as some seasoned teams were eliminated. Hydra Official, which is owned by well-known content creator Dynamo Gaming, surprised everyone by qualifying for BMPS S1. Before the BMOC, the team signed their BGIS roster, which included Dynamite, Zoro, Legend, Jaxon, and Parv. BMOC Round 4: Hydra Esports Qualifies for BMPS Season 1. Whereas some big teams struggled, this team performed admirably and qualified for the 2 crore INR tournament.

Action-packed The top 16 teams (8 invited and 8 qualified) competed on Day 1, with the top 6 advancing to the BMPS S1. Global Esports, one of India’s oldest esports organisations, won the overall standings with 109 points, followed by Big Brother and Initiative Academy. With 63 points, Team INS finished fourth.

The following six teams have qualified for the BMPS S1:

Hydra Official’s performances in BMOC Round 4

Hydra Official finished fifth with 62 points from 6 matches, which included 37 placement points and 25 finishes. The team was in fifth place before the sixth and final Group 1 match. With a spectacular performance in the previous match, the team climbed three places to fifth place. On the classic map of Erangel, the side had a 12-kill chicken dinner. The group 1 matches began with the first match, which was won by Global Esports on the Erangel map. Hydra finished fourth with 4 kills and 12 points from their first match.

The second Miramar match did not go well for Hydra, as they were eliminated with only one point. Big Brother Esports won the match. The third and fourth matches of the day were won by Initiative Academy. Hydra had an average performance in both matches, scoring 5 and 9 points, respectively.

Big Brother secured its second chicken dinner by winning the fourth match on Miramar. Hydra came in fifth place with only two eliminations and 8 points from this match. The third match was crucial in Hydra’s advancement to the BMPS. They won their final match against Global Esports and were rewarded with a chicken dinner.

BMPS Season 1 Start Date

The first season of the BMPS will begin on May 19, 2022 and will last until June 12, 2022. So far, 12 teams have qualified for the tournament.
