Previously in Chapter 264

In Chapter 264, we learn a little more about Kiyora’s past. His elder and younger brothers were continually trying to enlist him in their feuds, as we see in the opening portion of the chapter.

In the Bastard Munchen vs. PxG match, Kiyora is currently in a position to set up an assist for either Isagi or Kaiser, who will decide who scores the next goal.

Like his brothers before him, Kiyora thinks he can always count on the side he supports to come out on top. We don’t get to peek into his mind too often, but he’s obviously going to play a major role in determining who controls the action for the next few minutes.

Ness

Meanwhile, Kaiser is still searching for a scoring opportunity as the contest rages on. Isagi is well aware that the spotlight is currently on him, but Kaiser is actively seeking out opportunities to exploit Isagi’s weaknesses in his play. Kaiser just broke away from his restriction of exclusively passing to Ness. Just as he surprised Raichi in the last chapter by passing the ball to him, Kunigami receives it this time around.

It’s obvious that Kaiser is now willing to send the ball to Bastard Munchen players who are more impartial and may not necessarily support Kaiser or Isagi. In doing so, he not only gives himself more agency but also prevents Isagi from having total control.

Rin and Karasu, who are on the side of PxG, are still fighting Bastard Munchen’s assault. But Charles is swift to stop Hiori and Isagi as they try to get the ball. The chapter concludes with Ness informing Kaiser that he has arrived and that the story is far from done.
