One of these awards brings the helmet to life in a fully wearable format, awarded to the player who finishes the Champions Cue spring season in first place. It is currently unclear whether the EMEA Champions Qatar will receive the same awards. These LCS pros have complained that high ping has been a deterrent to solo queue play for years. They also claim that the single queue environment is not ideal for practice, as many high Elo players do not play professionally or seriously.

Made by HokuProps, this helmet is coated in royal purple with golden horns and features a stand that can be mounted on the base of the in-game Nexus. As of now, the Team Liquid Challengers ADC player is at the top of the APA Champions line in the second Spring Split, although there is still over a month to go before the split ends. The player who finishes in second place will receive what appears to be a pin based on this helmet, while the third place winner will receive a special coin. Additionally, the top 100 players will receive a commemorative T-shirt, and the top 50 players will receive a special jacket with the names of those 50 players on the back.

But it is currently unclear whether these prizes will replace the previous prize pool of $40,000 or if they will be awarded to the division’s highest-ranking players along with the money. However, various fans and players on social media have noted that these physical rewards may be more attractive to players with access to the Champions queue as its use has decreased further since its reopening earlier this year.

Qualified players will be invited to a private Discord server, where a bot will match 10 players into two teams. Both teams will have access to voice communication. These matches are logged in the Riot API, and a leaderboard as well as match history will be displayed here. There will be two seasons held during the year, one in spring and one in summer. The spring season will take place from February 7 to May 23, with the three divisions lasting about a month. Whereas, the summer season will run from 30 May to 26 September. Similarly, the summer season will be divided into three parts.

To encourage players, there is a US$400,000 prize pool for the top players. At the end of each split, the top players will earn season points, and at the end of the season the prizes will be split among those who have scored the most cumulative points:

  • First: US$62,200
  • Second: US$52,000
  • Third: US$49,400
  • Fourth: US$43,700
  • Fifth: US$39,700

The second division of Champions Queue Spring is currently underway and will be open until March 4, with the third division starting the next day. The 2023 spring season overall is expected to end on March 26, after which these awards are expected to be distributed.
