Anaadi Army Secures Qualification for VCL 2023 South Asia by Defeating Medal Esports

After four days of intense competition, Anaadi Army has emerged victorious in the open qualifier for Valorant Challengers League: South Asia. The team battled it out against 136 other teams from across the region and secured their spot in the main event. The grand final of the open qualifier saw Anaadi Army face off against the experienced team, Medal Esports. It was a closely fought best-of-five series that went down to the wire, with both teams displaying their skills and fighting spirit. Anaadi Army eventually emerged as the winners with a ‘3-2’ victory, after multiple overtime thrillers and a fantastic comeback. With this win, Anaadi Army will now compete against some of the best teams in South Asia at the main event. The team’s performance in the open qualifier has showcased their potential and fans are eager to see them in action at the upcoming tournament.

Anaadi Army triumphs after impressive comeback against Medal Esports

For the open qualifier of the largest Valorant league the South Asian area has to offer, a total of 137 teams had registered. All of the competitors put forth a valiant effort over the span of four days, cutting down on each other’s numbers to give us the top eight teams that made up the playoff bracket.

Medal Esports had an impressive run in the Valorant Challenger League South Asia qualifiers, defeating TOP Esports and OR5 without dropping a single map. The team looked solid and was not challenged by any of its opponents in the tournament.

Anaadi Army, on the other hand, had a tougher road to the grand finale. After losing the first map against Fun Squad, they made an impressive comeback to secure a spot in the semifinals. Here, they faced MLT Esports, who pushed them to the limit in a tough match that went to double overtime on the second map. Despite the challenge, Anaadi Army persevered and secured their spot in the grand finale.

The grand final was a tense and closely contested affair, with Anaadi Army showing their fighting spirit and refusing to give up against Medal Esports. Despite facing a formidable opponent, Anaadi Army fought hard and emerged victorious after a long and gruelling match.

The grand final between Anaadi Army and Medal Esports was a closely contested affair, with both teams winning one map each in the first two rounds. However, it was Medal Esports who gained the upper hand on the crucial third map, Icebox, and took a map advantage into the rest of the match.

Despite the setback, Anaadi Army fought back hard and made a close comeback on Ascent, levelling the overall score line. They then dominated on the final map, Split, to secure their victory and qualify for the main event.

Soumyadeep “DOXZ3R” Dey was the top performer in the grand finale, playing only Killjoy across all five maps and accumulating an impressive ACS of 245, along with a K/D/A of 98/70/14. His contributions were instrumental in Anaadi Army’s comeback and ultimate victory over Medal Esports.

Anaadi Army emerged victorious in the open qualifiers for the Valorant Challengers League South Asia, earning themselves a spot in the tournament with a total prize pool of over 1.1 crores. The win also gives them the opportunity to qualify for the VCT Asia Pacific Asencion 2023. The marathon series concluded with Anaadi Army defeating Medal Esports in a hard-fought match, securing their place in the main event.
