Additionally, MSI 2023’s initial participants have begun to make their way to the event. In light of this, the following is a list of all League of Legends teams that have qualified for the Mid-Season Invitational 2023. This list will be updated as additional teams secure their spots.

JD Gaming (LPL first seed)

JDG are back with a vengeance after missing out on a spot in the international final at the World Championship last year by one series. On April 9, the team became the first from China to qualify for MSI. As the region’s top seed at MSI, they will represent it.

G2 Esports (LEC, EMEA)

The LEC’s format underwent a number of significant changes beginning this season, the most significant of which was splitting the season into three parts. On February 26, the first one—the 2023 LEC Winter Split—came to an end with a quick G2 Esports victory over MAD Lions in the championship game. As a result, the European powerhouse earned the right to represent Europe at MSI 2023 as the first team, while the second team earned a spot in the LEC Spring Split of 2023.

Bilibili Gaming (LPL second seed)

At MSI, Bilibili Gaming will make its debut in a foreign country. After defeating Edward Gaming in the LPL Spring Playoffs, the team earned a spot in the tournament. They are qualified to represent the LPL as its second seed because of their second-place finish in the domestic tournament.

Cloud9 (LCS first seed)

When Cloud9 defeated FlyQuest in the second round of the LCS Spring Playoffs, they punched their ticket to MSI. In the previous three seasons, Cloud9 has participated in MSI twice, including this one. After defeating Golden Guardians on April 9 to win their sixth championship in franchise history, they will represent the region at MSI as the top seed.

T1 (LCK second seed)

After an impressive 17-1 Spring Split and two best-of-five victories over KT Rolster and Gen.G in the LCK Spring Playoffs quarterfinal and semifinal, T1 qualified for MSI. T1 was given a second chance to face Gen.G in the Spring Finals, but they lost in a stunning upset and will now represent Korea as the second seed at MSI despite having the first seed all but secured for the majority of the split.

Golden Guardians (LCS second seed)

The Cinderella tale of a split for Golden Guardians reached its climax on April 8, when the group unexpectedly defeated FlyQuest and secured a spot at MSI. Golden Guardians won three straight series to secure their first international appearance in franchise history as well as their first-ever appearance in a domestic final, despite finishing with an even record in the regular split.

Detonation FocusMe (LJL first seed)

DetonatioN FocusMe, the most successful League of Legends team in Japanese League of Legends history, is participating in its eighth international tournament in the previous five years. In nine out of the previous ten splits, the franchise has won the LJL.

PSG Talon (PCS first seed)

PSG Talon, a well-known team, qualified for MSI 2023 by winning the PCS for the fourth time in the previous five splits. They’ll be visiting MSI for the third year in a row. PSG played well enough in the MSI last season to advance past the group stage, but they did not make it to the bracket stage like they did in 2021.

Movistar R7 (LLA first seed)

After being absent from the global stage since 2020, Rainbow7 is back. The team won the title of Latin American champions and will compete in the MSI Play-in stage.

Gen.G (LCK first seed)

In order to secure Korea’s top seed at MSI, Gen.G played exceptionally well down the stretch of the Spring Playoffs, defeating KT Rolster and T1 on consecutive days.
