Given the disappointing results of the Spring Split, which saw Dignitas finish last in the standings with just three victories, their current LCS campaign has fallen short of expectations thus far. Because of this, the organisation wants to change things up for the impending split.

The top laner for Dignitas, rfan Berk “Armut” Tükek, won’t be on the starting lineup for the upcoming split, according to a report by Blix.gg. Lee “Rich” Jae-won, who has a verbal agreement with Dignitas and will be joining them in the future, will be picked up by Dignitas in his place. Other Dignitas players are reportedly looking into LCS offers as well. For the summer split, Dignitas is looking to the LPL for a replacement top laner:

Rich will now be the second Korean player on the roster after Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun, a support player. The new lineup will be as follows, barring any additional roster adjustments:

  • Top: Rich
  • Jungle: Santorin
  • Mid: Jensen
  • ADC: Tomo
  • Support: IgNaR
  • Head Coach: Enatron

Rich is a top laner from Korea with extensive LPL and LCK experience. He used to be one of the most powerful players in Heroes of the Storm, and because of how influential he was in that game, he was frequently compared to Faker. Having said that, Rich eventually switched to League thanks to Gen.G Esports, the team he was competing for in HotS.

In the summer of 2019, he was given the opportunity to play a few games as a substitute mid laner in the LCK before switching to the top lane and joining Team Dynamics for the 2020 season. Rich and his team were able to qualify for the LCK by winning the Promotion tournament at the end of the Spring Split, despite having little prior experience playing competitively.

A third-place finish in the LCK was achieved by Rich and the newly rebranded NS RedForce during the 2021 season, which marked the beginning of Rich’s career. His impressive performances in the LPL attracted interest from abroad, and Victory Five decided to sign him for the 2022 campaign. Rich was able to maintain his position in the top five in both splits alongside other seasoned players like Karsa and Rookie, with his best finish coming in the LPL Spring Split.

However, he was benched this year in favour of Invincible, the academy top laner for V5 (now known as Ninjas in Pyjamas). Rich participated in just one game during the split, which he lost to Rare Atom. Early in March, he left Ninjas in Pyjamas and became a free agent. Rich’s entry into the LCS will probably make top lane competition more intense, but Dignitas will need him to perform at a high level. He will be a formidable player for Dignitas if he can recapture his 2021 form.
