Following last week’s announcement that Düsseldorf would host the RLCS 22-23 World Championship, anticipation is growing as fans worldwide get ready to order their tickets and look forward to the conclusion of a crazy competitive year. Considering how well-received the World’s in Fort Worth last year were, let’s talk about what Psyonix can do to live up to the hype and put on an equally spectacular event in Düsseldorf.

Even though the tournament matches undoubtedly generated enough excitement on their own, Pysonix added a few special touches to the RLCS 21-22 World Championships that elevated the event even further. Nevertheless, despite being the biggest event in esports history, it wasn’t without its share of problems. If you need more information about All Information about RLCS 22-23 World Championships in Germany, then read carefully and don’t forget to share with your friends.

All Information about RLCS 22-23 World Championships in Germany:

The “Friday Night Duels,” special 1v1 show matches that took place after the tournament matches on Friday, were one novel addition to World’s last year. Some people thought that having some 1v1 action between the top Rocket League players was a welcome change from watching so much 3v3 gameplay all weekend, and this was an exciting addition to the event. Although the players only had their pride to play for, I believe that if Psyonix added some prize money for the victor of these show matches, it would increase the tension and excitement, which would ultimately boost the atmosphere in the arena.

Additionally, scheduling these matches for the evening after the regular World’s series may have resulted in a lack of interest from the audience and viewers, who might have turned off the stream or left the venue. I believe that viewers would be more interested in watching these games if they were spread out over the course of a weekend and played in between series. A different option would be to mix in some 2v2 games in addition to 1v1. The community responded favourably to this during the online RLCSX Championships. In general, I believe Psyonix should bring back show matches to keep the Düsseldorf audience entertained.

Finals

The Ford Freestyle competition’s final, which was held in front of the crowd on the main stage, was another novel addition to the Worlds last year. Nytro Faith and Nytro Tx competed online to earn a spot in the final, where they competed for a share of $70,000. Some fans criticised this event because the freestyles were much less interesting than what they had seen online (likely due to the pressure and differences playing on stage), but I believe it was still beneficial to witness freestylers perform for the first time in a live setting.

Even though there is less money on the line this year, I hope Psyonix brings back something comparable for the World’s. Along with 1v1/2v2 matches, I believe the crowd would enjoy a freestyle show match.

PLAYOFFS (OBVIOUSLY)

I believe that the Playoff games all taking place on Sunday was the main issue with the format. This is due to the final day’s eight best-of-seven series making it feel a little hurried. I believe that having more time between the games for content videos and desk segments would help build the hype for each individual series much better in preparation for an epic season finale. The semi-finals and the grand final should only be held on the final day, as they have successfully done in the majority of prior LAN events and online regionals, in my opinion.

Whatever Psyonix has in store for the event, I have no doubt it will live up to the hype of the Worlds from a year ago, especially with a boisterous European crowd supporting it. Get ready because the RLCS 22-23 World Championships in Düsseldorf are just a few months away! This year’s level of player competition has been by far the closest we have ever seen.
