Babar Azam was born on 15th October 1994. He is a Pakistani international cricketer who captains Pakistan across formats. However, he is the only batsman in the world who is in the top 5 rankings across all formats and he is ranked as the number 1 batsman in T20I and in ODIs as well.
He leads Karachi Kings in the PSL and captains Central Punjab in domestic cricket as well. He was added to the Pakistani ODI squad for the home series against Zimbabwe in 2015 and he made his ODI debut in the third ODI on 31st May and scored a fifty (54 runs off 60 balls) as well.
He was added to the ODI squad for the home series against England. In the first ODI, he scored 62* which helped Pakistan win the match. He had scores of 4, 22 and 51 in the next three games respectively and finished the series with 139 runs at an average of 46.33 as well. And, with time, he has seen a rapid rise also.

Babar Azam was selected in the home series against the West Indies in 2016 and became the only batsman to score 350+ runs in a three-match ODI series as he smashed three consecutive centuries (120 off 131 balls), (123 off 126 balls), and (117 off 106 balls). He also broke the record for scoring the most runs (360) in a three-match ODI series as well.
He had made his Test debut against the West Indies in Dubai on 13th October 2016 and he had scored 69 runs in his first innings. With this, he became the first player to score a fifty on his Test debut in a day/night Test as well. On 19th January 2017, in the third ODI against Australia, Babar Azam became the joint-fastest player to score 1,000 runs in ODIs as well. In September 2017, Babar Azam became the fastest batsman to score 7th ODI century in ODIs and the first in ODI history to score five consecutive centuries in one country as well.
