Mohammad Nawaz is a professional cricketer from Pakistan, he is a left-hand batter and left-arm spinner and has represented the National team in all the formats. He has turned into a valuable player for the Pakistan side with his all-round abilities. Mohammad Nawaz started as a left-arm medium-fast bowler, but his career took a different turn. Nawaz announced himself in the 2012 Under-19 World Cup, he was excellent and was one of their best performers in the tournament. Born in Rawalpindi, Nawaz’s domestic career started with the National Bank of Pakistan. He made his first-class and List-A debut in the 2012 season and was brilliant from the get-go, he went from strength to strength and has become a dangerous player in Pakistan’s domestic circuit.

Later that season, he made his Test debut against the West Indies in the UAE. Nawaz was in and out of the test team with injuries, his career promised a lot but he couldn’t live up to the expectations of the team management.

Despite losing his spot from the Test side, the all-rounder became an integral part of the white-ball setup, until early 2017. After players like Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim emerged, Nawaz saw losing his way out of the national team and was dropped from the Pakistan squad. However, represented Quetta Gladiators during the inaugural season of the PSL where he finished as the competition’s third-highest wicket-taker. Nawaz was brought back into the side during the white-ball series against South Africa in 2021. Over the years, Nawaz has also been a consistent performer in the PSL where he represents the Quetta Gladiators, right from their first season. Nawaz has also represented the Rajshahi Royals and Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League and has become a valuable player in this league.
