New Zealand women’s white-ball tour of the West Indies started on Monday, September 19 after the first ODI was postponed due to a tropical storm in Antigua. The tour features four ODIs and five T20Is as well. However, New Zealand won the first two ODIs by 5 runs (DLS method) which was a rain-affected game and 2 wickets respectively. The third ODI will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound in Antigua on Sunday, September 25.

However, this is the first time that the West Indies women are playing since the 2022 World Cup in March. Hayley Matthews, who led the Barbados side in the Commonwealth Games 2022, has been leading the team as well. New Zealand, on the other hand, last appeared in the CWG 2022 and ended up winning the bronze medal beating the hosts England as well. And, in the first game, Suzie Bates scored a stunning fifty. Alongside her, Amelia Kerr has also scored an unbeaten 47 and Hayley Matthews picked up 3 scalps as well. In the second, Matthews did well with the bat too and, they are likely to do well in the next game as well.
