The T20 World Cup in Australia got underway here on Sunday as Nambia beat Sri Lanka in the first game by 55 runs and caused a major upset in the very first game of the tournament, While in the 2nd game UAE and the Netherlands played a thriller which went to the last over. The Netherlands won the game by 3 wickets on the penultimate ball of the match. 

The action now will shift to the West Indies vs Scotland game. On Monday, October 17, the West Indies will meet Scotland in the third match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. The Bellerive Oval in Hobart will host the Group B match. The match promises to be an exciting contest after what unfolded on day 1 of the tournament.

West Indies recently played Australia in a two-match Twenty20 International series. They didn’t win a single game. They pushed Australia in the first game but dropped chances in the final over cost them that game. Although, they defeated the United Arab Emirates in their first warm-up game. Rain caused their next game to be cancelled.

On the other hand, prior to a warm-up match against the Netherlands, Scotland had only played two games since the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2021. The two Twenty20 Internationals versus New Zealand in July ended in crushing defeats for them. But they defeated Bangladesh last year so they would take confidence from that.
