In the fourth innings of the first Test, India National Cricket Team wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant had lightning-fast reflexes and collected a stunning catch to send back Najmul Hossain Shanto. The first Test of a two-match series between India’s KL Rahul-led National Cricket Team and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan-led National Cricket Team is presently underway at Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. Najmul Hossain Shanto, 24, of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, scored a magnificent knock in the fourth innings of the contest while pursuing the target. He scored 67 runs off 156 balls, including seven fours, and shared a magnificent 124-run partnership with debutant Zakir Hasan in 277 balls.

In the 47th over of Day 4, Umesh Yadav broke the extraordinary partnership between Bangladesh’s openers and achieved the first breakthrough for his team. Umesh Yadav threw a short length delivery from round the wicket that was slightly outside of the off-stump on the first ball of the 47th over, and Shanto lost patience and ended up pushing at it to get an outside edge. The ball was directed towards Virat Kohli, who was at first slip, and he attempted to catch it, but the ball popped out. Fortunately, wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant was alert, diving over to his left and taking a good catch.
