United Arab Emirates vs West Indies, 3rd ODI: head-to-head and key stats

The pitch at the Sharjah Cricket Ground has produced some belters over the years. The ball could stick in the wicket during the first inning but will come nicely onto the bat in the night matches under lights and the batters can play their strokes freely right from the start of their innings.

UAE will lock horns with West Indies in the 3rd and final ODI of the series, the match will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday, 9th of June. West Indies went on to dominate UAE in the first two ODIs. The visitors were familiar with the UAE pitches and the members of the UAE squad as they played together in domestic tournaments such as the Abu Dhabi T10 Blast. UAE were below par in both games. Rohan Mustafa, Ansh Tandon and Vriitya Arvind will be key in this final encounter. Aayan Khan, Karthik Meiyappan, and Sanchit Sharma have done fairly well and will look to continue with the same kind of performance.

West Indies will be treating this as an ideal preparation ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers which follow after this series, they will look to fine to their skills. Left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie returned to the side and was impressive in his first outing. Brandon King scored a hundred in the 1st ODI game and will be looking to replicate his performance in this fixture. Shai Hope has led the side brilliantly in the series so far and will be looking to continue with the winning momentum. It’s surprising to see Shimron Hetmyer being left out of the side but West Indies have a very strong bench and would like all their players to get the best chance to prepare for the all-important 50 overs World Cup.
