The UAE T20 League which is set to get underway in 2023 will feature six franchises in action. The inaugural edition of the UAE T20 League will witness 34 matches being played in a double round-robin format. The six franchises will include Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, Dubai Capitals and two more unnamed sides.
The Adani Sportsline-owned Gulf Giants have named their squad for the UAE T20 League. Some of the key players in the squad will include the likes of West Indies’ Shimron Hetmyer and Australia’s Chris Lynn with the likes of English cricketers Chris Jordan, James Vince, Tom Banton, Richard Gleeson, Liam Dawson and Ollie Pope in their ranks.
Andy Flower will be the head coach of the side, who also led the coaching duties for Lucknow SuperGiants in the IPL 2022. Australian power-hitter Lynn, meanwhile, will have to acquire a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Cricket Australia to participate in the league.
