Top performers in WI w vs Eng w T20I series

West Indies Women and England Women played a five-match T20I series which was recently concluded with England Women winning all five matches and whitewashing the Windies in their own backyard 5-0. The West Indies fought hard but the England unit proved to be too strong for them. The series saw some quality cricket being played and there were some stand-out performers, Charlie Dean will the highest wicket-taker of the series with 11 wickets and was the main reason behind England’s success.

Lauren Bell was the second-highest wicket-taker scalping 9 wickets in total. Hayley Matthews was the star performer for the Windies, she put up an all-round show, contributing 6 wickets with the ball and mustering 74 runs with the bat in hand. Matthews finished as the 3rd highest wicket-taker and run-scorer in the series. Sophia Dunkley is a right-handed batter from England Women hammered 154 runs at an average of 30.80 and finished as the top on the run-scorers charts.

Danni Wyatt scored 90 runs with an average of 45.00, and was scored the highest individual score of 59* in the 5-match series and finished as the 2nd highest run-scorer. Rashada Williams scored 69 in the series, she got the starts and looked in good tough but wasn’t able to convert the starts into anything substantial she was the 4th highest run-scorer in the series. Heather Knight and Natalie Sciver didn’t live up to the expectations and scored 61 and 51 respectively in the 5 matches that they played.
