Nellai Royal Kings have been one of the most inconsistent franchises in the TNPL. But they will look to change their fortunes in TNPL 2022. Incidentally, in 2021, the franchise changed their name and base from VB Kanchi Veerans of Kancheepuram to feature from Tirunelveli with their present name.
Nellai Royal Kings have recorded lacklusture performances in the past. The franchise finished on the sixth, fifth, seventh, fourth and fifth spot from 2016 ro 2021 respectively. The franchise is owned by Crown Forts Ltd and will look to put their best foot forward in 2021 under the captaincy of Baba Aparajith and coaching of A. G. Guruswamy.
