Rain has been playing hide and seek in Australia since the world cup started. Sever warm up games were washed out. There was rain forecast for Australia vs New Zealand and India vs Pakistan game as well.

But the rain god’s stayed away and the full match was played. But South Africa would consider themselves unlucky as their game against Zimbabwe in Hobart on Monday was abandoned after they were close to win the game.

The rain spoiled South Africa’s chase as they were left stranding. By virtue of that result, it means that they have to share 1 point with Zimbabwe. So rather than 2 points, they got 1 only point.

T20 World Cup 2022: What happens when it rains in semifinal and final

There is a reserve day for each of the three knock out games. If the match is still not completed then the side which finished first in the points table would progress to the final.

While if the final is washed out, even after no play on the reserve day then the teams would have to share the trophy.
