Skipper David Willey then kept the momentum on with a 39-ball 75*, taking the team over the finish line with a maximum, while chasing down the target in just 17.4 overs as well. Meanwhile, Northamptonshire faced a defeat to Lancashire in the last game at Old Trafford to climb atop the points table. Chasing a target of 154, Lancashire needed 8 runs off the final over and despite Jimmy Neesham claiming two wickets in the over – and four in the match. But he also bowled four extras to conclude the game, where the winning runs came off a no-ball. However, a 41-ball 57 from Saif Zaib helped Northamptonshire to cross the 150-run mark as well.

Indian viewers can live stream the T20 Blast 2022 on the Fan Code app. The ECB will again host live streams of every match on the ECB website and ECB app while Sky Sports is set to broadcast 19 matches throughout the group stage, with each county set to feature at least twice before the four quarter-finals and Finals Day. It will also be available via BBC Local Radio stations with extensive coverage also on 5 Live Sports Extra.
