On Friday, June 17, Northamptonshire will take on Lancashire in the T20 Blast Nouth Group at the County Ground in Northampton. Northamptonshire is currently at the second in the points table having won five and losing two with 11 points also. On the other hand, Lancashire is placed at the top of the points table with six wins and no defeats alongside 13 points in their name as well.
Chris Lynn’s 57-ball 113* and Joshua Cobb’s (30-ball 50) all-round brilliance helped Northamptonshire register a massive 73-run win. Cobb also picked up his maiden T20 fifer and successfully bowled Worcestershire out for 164 in the 17th over as well. Meanwhile, Lancashire managed their winning streak by defending the total against Yorkshire. Half-centuries by Tom Kohler-Cadmore and David Willey went in vain as Danny Lamb kept his cool in the last over and sealed the deal. Keaton Jennings, Steven Croft and Dane Vilas scored brisk 40s, but it was Tim David’s 32-ball 66 which helped them post a massive total. He smashed four boundaries and six sixes as well.
