The T20 Blast 2022 started on May 25 and the domestic T20 tournament in England is known as the ‘Vitality T20 Blast 2022’ as well. The season will host its 20th edition where not only the national players participate but also the T20 specialists from across the world takes part as well. However, the upcoming game will take place between Hampshire vs Sussex at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. As far as Sussex’s last game is concerned, Josh Philippe’s 43-ball 70 helped them post a huge total of 216 in 20 overs. And, that handed Somerset their first defeat of the T20 Blast 2022 as well. Asked to bat first in Taunton, Sussex put up a great show on the back of Tom Alsop, Ravi Bopara and Harrison Ward.
Rilee Rossouw smashed a blazing 29-ball 74 in the chase but found little support from the other end. Delray Rawlins took the crucial wicket of Rossouw while Obed McCoy, who was in a good form during IPL 2022, claimed a five-fer with Tymal Mills taking the other four and sealed the deal for their side as well. Currently, they have won 2 games and lost 2 out of 4 games as well.

On the other hand, Hampshire faced a defeat at the hands of Surrey as Sam Curran‘s all-round efforts sealed the deal for his side. With this win, they topped the points table with a comfortable 72-run win as they bundled the opponents within 156 in a 229-run chase. However, Hampshire opted to bowl, but after a good start, they filed to restrict the trio of Will Jacks (64), Curran (69) and Sunil Narine (52) from scoring fifties and they posted a huge total of 228. Hampshire got off to a poor start in a big chase as they lost Nick Gubbins for a two-ball duck. Later, they slipped to 67 for 6 courtesy of Curran’s strikes with the ball. However, James Fuller tried with a 34-ball 43 to keep Hampshire in the game but they eventually lost it as well.
Indian viewers can live stream the T20 Blast 2022 on the Fan Code app. The ECB will again host live streams of every match on the ECB website and ECB app while Sky Sports is set to broadcast 19 matches throughout the group stage, with each county set to feature at least twice before the four quarter-finals and Finals Day. It will also be available via BBC Local Radio stations with extensive coverage also on 5 Live Sports Extra.
