Sri Lanka will take on the Netherlands in the 9th match of the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Simonds Stadium, Geelong on Thursday. The island nation bounced back with a win over UAE in their second match after registering an upset against Namibia in the inaugural fixture. Netherlands, meanwhile, will look to add to their win streak after two consecutive wins in the group stage fixture. 

Hosts Australia are the defending champions for the T20 World Cup 2022 with the heavyweights like IndiaEngland, Pakistan and the West Indies set to make the marquee event more competitive. The twelve teams that reached the Super 12 phase of the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup automatically qualified for the 2022 tournament.
