Scotland Women defeated United Arab Emirates by 5 wickets in the 5th Place 1st semi-final while Papua New Guinea defeated the United States Women by 7 wickets in the 5th Place Semi-Final 2.

Group A will include Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, and the USA whereas Group B will feature Thailand, Zimbabwe, PNG, and UAE. The final match and the classification games will be played on September 25. The top two teams at the end of the tournament will qualify for the main tournament that will be held in South Africa in February 2023.
