On November 9, New Zealand will face Pakistan in the first semi-final of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022. New Zealand won three of five matches in Group A with one loss and no result. Pakistan had a bit of a rub of the green going for them, finishing with six points in Group B after three wins. The team led by Babar Azam has gained some traction moving into the semi-finals and they would hope to carry the momentum forward. Babar is struggling for runs but Williamson got back to form in the last Super 12 game.

Pakistan fell in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021 to Australia. They’ll be eager to get closer this time. The challenge will not be easy, as New Zealand has shown strength with both bat and ball. Only skipper Kane Williamson’s form was a concern for the team, but he, too, bounced back with a fantastic 61 against Ireland. New Zealand’s strength is that it does not rely on a single player, which has allowed them to perform exceptionally well in this year’s showcase event.
