Netherlands will host England in the first of the three-match ODI series at the VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen on Friday. All the three matches will be played at the same venue with the series concluding with the third and final ODI on June 22. The series was originally scheduled to take place in 2021 but due to COVID-19 complications it was rescheduled to be played this year.

The task will be cut out for the Netherlands who are still looking to get off the mark in 2022. The hosts will arrive for the series after recording six consecutive ODI defeats against New Zealand and West Indies. The Dutch side will be at service without the guidance of their head coach Ryan Campbell who suffered a cardiac arrest while on holiday in the UK in April. Ryan Cook will be in-charge of the side in the meantime.
