The final of the rain-marred Major Clubs T20 tournament 2022 will be played on June 17.
The Major Clubs T20 Tournament 2022 is currently underway in Sri Lanka. The T20 tournament saw rain playing a spoilsport initially as a number of matches were abandoned without a ball being bowled. However, in the latter phase of the Major Clubs T20 Tournament 2022, the competition has grabbed intensity with plenty of close fixtures and upcoming talents showcasing their prowess.
With the clouds hovering over the Sri Lankan skies and the conditions not suitable to play, the tournament is usually abandoned. But this season has seen a different approach from the management as the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) board wants to identify domestic talents for the Lanka Premier League in August. The tournament has been touted to recognize future talents for the Sri Lankan national team and the Lankan Premier League 2022.
