Lowest-ever totals in the history of T20 cricket after Sydney Thunders get all out for 15 runs
The T20 format is well-known for being a batter-dominated format in which bowlers must perform heroically in order to generate regular breakthroughs. Apart from surviving the difficult powerplay overs, players must also maintain their nerves at the death to keep the run flow under control. However, there have been a few cases where none of a team’s batters were able to get going on a given day, resulting in a collective batting failure and the lowest totals in the history of the shortest format.
The Sydney Thunder, who were skittled out for 15 runs in six overs chasing 140 against the Adelaide Strikers in a Big Bash League (BBL) 2022 match at the Sydney Showground Stadium on Friday, December 16, are the most recent addition to this undesirable list. Prior to this match, Turkey had the lowest-ever T20 score of 21 runs, which they achieved against the Czech Republic at Ilfov County in August 2019 while chasing 279 runs.

The third spot on this list belongs to Turkey once again who scored 32 runs against Austria during a T20I game in August 2019. Habib Ahmadzai and Zeshan Arif each took four wickets to dismiss Turkey for 32 runs, as Austria chased down the mark in only the third over by ten wickets. Mohammedan takes fourth place after being all out for 45 runs against Prime Bank in a T20 match at Sylhet in December 2013.
