Ireland will host New Zealand in a three match T20I series at the Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast, starting on Monday. The second match will take place on Wednesday while the third and final clash will be held on Friday. All the matches will be played at the same venue and will be a key for preparation of the respective teams for the 2022 T20 World Cup.
The New Zealand tour to Ireland 2022 began with a three-match ODI series where both teams showed a good account of themselves. But the 2019 World Cup finalists held their ground to win the matches by close margin. New Zealand won the first match by 1 wicket before sealing the second game by three wickets and sweeping the third match by one run.

New Zealand and Ireland have faced off only once in the shortest format where the Kiwis reigned supreme.
