The upcoming battle between MI and SRH will be the second time these two franchises cross swords in IPL 2021. Mumbai and Hyderabad played against each other at the MA Chidambaram Stadium earlier this year, where the Indians beat the Sunrisers by 13 runs. The Rohit Sharma-led outfit will be high on confidence heading into their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Mumbai Indians have defeated the Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings in their last two outings. David Warner holds the record for the most runs (524) in the battles between SRH and MI. However, it is unlikely that Warner will feature in the SRH playing XI on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has scalped 16 wickets in SRH vs MI matches. Kieron Pollard is the only MI batsman to amass over 400 runs against the Orange Army, while Jasprit Bumrah has dismissed 13 SRH batters in his career. Pollard and Bumrah will be the players to watch out for in this game.

Here are the predicted lineups:

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD (SRH):

Jonny Bairstow: After a disappointing innings in the previous match, Jonny must be looking to get a big inning in this game. The SRH batting line up very much depends on Bairstow to score some big runs.

Manish Pandey: After being promoted to open the innings, Pandey scored a quickfire 31 off 20 balls in a losing cause. He should be looking to score some big runs, else SRH will find it very difficult to chase down or set up targets for the opposition.

Kane Williamson (Captain): Made a positive impact after given an opportunity to play. He is an added strength to the batting lineup. Now he has the extra pressure of captaining the side, let’s see how he handles that and his batting.

Kedhar Jadhav: His brief cameo against CSK gave him another chance against RR. But was disappointing against RR, he will be looking to change that.

Vijay Shankar: He is an asset to the team, considering the ability to perform with the bat and bowl as well. But he has failed to make any sort of an impact this season.

Jason Holder: The tall West Indies Captain played only a single match this season, picked up 3 wickets in the match against RCB. No idea, as to why the SRH management has not given him more chances.

Rashid Khan: He has been the most consistent bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad over the past few seasons. Arguably, has been the standout bowler for the SRH franchise in the tournament. With the likes of Natarajan missing, the pressure is on Rashid to pick up more wickets this season.

Khaleel Ahmed: He will be looking to improve his performances from his previous two outings. Khaleel hasn’t been at his best this season, SRH will be hoping for the pacer to find his rhythm back.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar: SRH’s strike bowler has blown hot and cold, missing out a couple of matches due to a niggle. SRH will be hoping their premier bowler will find his momentum back.

Sandeep Sharma: He has had a very slow start to IPL 2021. Sandeep and Bhuvi have a very good partnership with the new ball. Sandeep needs to find his length and line quickly for SRH to achieve some success.

Siddarth Kaul: After a wicket less game against RR, Kaul needs to finds his form and start picking up wickets with the new ball.

MUMBAI INDIANS (MI):

Rohit Sharma (Captain): Leading run-getter for the MI, the skipper got off to a good start against CSK. He is having a mixed start to this edition of IPL, failed to convert those good starts into big knocks.

Quinton de Kock: After his match-winning knock against Rajasthan, De Kock cements his place at the top of the order. He continued his fine form in this edition against CSK scoring 38 off 28 balls.

Surya Kumar Yadav: He never fails to amaze us with his incredible timing and effortless shots. Surya however has failed to score big in his previous 3 matches.

Ishan Kishan: After getting dropped in the previous 3 matches, Ishan will be looking to get a promising knock against SRH.

Hardik Pandya: Hardik will be looking to improve his performances with bat, having failed to make an impact on the scorecard until now. He hasn’t been used to bowl for the MI, so he is in the team as a full-time batsman rather than an all-rounder. MI will be hoping that he can find his rhythm back.

Kieron Pollard: The big man from Trinidad showed us how brutal he can be with the bat. Against CSK, Pollard smashed 87 off 34 balls recording a match-winning innings with the team chasing 219. Pollard stepped and showed us what he capable off with the bat and ball.

Krunal Pandya: Krunal has been an important figure in the bowling department. He was promoted up the order against CSK and made an important contribution by scoring 32 off 23 balls to help MI cross the line.

Rahul Chahar: He has been the best bowler for Mumbai Indians, picking up 11 wickets while bowling at an average of 15 and an economy rate of 6.85. Rahul will be hoping to repeat the feat and derail the SRH batting line-up.

Jasprit Bumrah: The go to bowler for Rohit Sharma, Bumrah has shown his world-class capability of bowling at the death. Bumrah did not get off to the best of starts in IPL 2021. He was pretty expensive against CSK, conceding 56 runs in his 4 overs.

Trent Boult: Boult possesses a well-disguised slower ball along with some fiery pace. While the left-armer has the ability to pick up wickets, he has also proved to be expensive.

Jayant Yadav: This man is capable of doing it with the ball as well as with the bat. His inclusion deepens the already deep batting line-up of MI. He can get through with his quota very quickly and effectively.
