RR have always found some hero when they face MI and the same is expected this time around as well. RR won their game against KKR and are with 2 wins in 5 games and MI have the same number of wins in 5 games.

On paper, there is no doubt that MI are a much superior side to RR but the latter’s execution on the field in this season, especially with the ball, has been one of the best. Their bowlers have been spot on and Mustafizur Rahman is doing his job to perfection.

HERE ARE THE PREDICTED LINEUPS:

MUMBAI INDIANS

Rohit Sharma (Cap): Was in good form and looked in positive touch in the game against Punjab Kings (PBKS) by scoring 63 runs off 52 deliveries. He will be eyeing for a good score once again with some support from the other end.

Quinton de Kock: Could not quite get going in the game against PBKS. But, against the Rajasthan bowling line up he will be itching to get out there and score some useful runs at the top.

Surya Kumar Yadav: He never fails to amaze us with his incredible timing and effortless shots he plays. Surya and Rohit have been the only batsmen who have stepped up for MI this season.

Ishan Kishan: After getting dropped for the match against PBKS, Ishan must be looking to get a promising knock against RR.

Hardik Pandya: He will be looking to improve his performances with bat, failed to make an impact on the scorecard until now. He has not been used to bowl for the MI, so he is in the team as a full-time batsman rather than an all-rounder. MI will be hoping that he can find his rhythm back.

Kieron Pollard: He has not been the player we know; Pollard is yet to fire for MI in the death overs. He will be looking to improve his performance against RR.

Krunal Pandya: Krunal has been an important figure in the bowling department rather than his batting. MI will be itching for the Pandya brothers to find form this IPL.

Rahul Chahar: He has been the best bowler for MI and has picked up 9 wickets while bowling at an average of 15 and an economy rate of 6.85. He will be hoping to repeat the feat and derail Rajasthan batting line-up.

Jasprit Bumrah: The go to bowler for Rohit Sharma, Bumrah has shown his world class capability of bowling at the death. Bumrah did not got off to the best of starts in IPL 2021. He is struggling to get back to his best but the pacer is just a performance away from finding his rhythm and being at his lethal best, especially in death overs.

Trent Boult: Boult possesses a well-disguised slower ball along with some fiery pace. While the left-armer has the ability to pick up wickets, he has also proved to be expensive.

Jayant Yadav: This man is capable of doing it with the ball as well as with the bat. His inclusion deepens the already deep batting line-up of MI. He can get through with his quota very quickly and effectively.

RAJASTHAN ROYALS

Sanju Samson (Cap): After a brilliant start in this edition, Sanju Samson issues with consistency still persist. Failed to trouble the scoresheet in the previous 3 matches, he will look to score some big runs against MI.

Jos Buttler (WK): One of the best opening batsmen in white-ball cricket, the dashing England batsman has been getting starts but has failed to convert them into big scores.

Yashasvi Jaiswal: Still looking for the one big score which will give the confidence boost he requires. Got a good start against KKR but failed to turn it into a big one.

David Miller: He has not been the same batsmen we knew over the years, with his experience and power, his performances can be the turning point for RR this season.

Riyan Parag: He has failed to turn his good starts into big scores. Riyan has the ability and skill to play some wonderful strokes. His contribution at the back end of innings will be quite crucial for RR.

Rahul Tewatia: Tewatia made headlines when he smashed five sixes in an over against KXIP this season to help RR chase down a record target of 224 runs. However, he has not been able to score big since then and will be looking to change that against MI.

Chris Morris: The big money signing, Morris still needs to prove his worth. Helped them to a win against Delhi Capitals, other than that he has been stealth.

Shivam Dube: After an excellent innings against RCB scoring 46 off 32 balls, Dube showed glimpses of his talent against KKR. He will look to make his point against MI.

Shreyas Gopal Gopal has troubled the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in the past, with the ball spinning away from them. RR will be hoping for their star spinner to bag some wickets against MI.

Mustafizur Rahman: The Fizz has been expensive this year, going at almost 9 runs per over each match. RR will be wanting him to pick up wickets in the power play overs.

Chetan Sakariya: This young boy continues to impress, with his lovely bowling action and wrist postion. He looks like the find of this IPL season. It will be interesting to see him go up against the big batsmen of MI.
