India took a 1-0 lead against Bangladesh in the two-match test series, after winning the first match in Chittagong by 188 runs as the hosts were bundled out for 324. Resuming on an overnight score of 272-6 in their second innings. India took the 4 wickets in the first session and secured a win. Bangladesh will be looking to put in a better effort in the second Test which will be played from December 22 to December 26 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. India will start as favourites again but this Bangladesh side can be very potent in home conditions and the visitors can’t take them lightly. Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep was making a comeback in the longer format, he finished with brilliant figures of 8 for 113, 5 for 40 in the first innings and 3 for 73 in the second which proved to be vital to India’s 188-run win over Bangladesh in the first Test in Chittagong. The left-arm wrist spinner had looked threatening and will look to deliver the goods in the 2nd match as well with the pitch expected to take a lot of turn and bounce in at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

Shubman Gill

Ever since Shubman Gill was adjudged the player of the tournament at the 2018 Under-19 World Cup, he has been going strength to strength. Gill’s debut came on the tour was to Australia in 2020-21, where he hit a brilliant 91 in Brisbane against an attack and helped India to a victory. In the hundred against Bangladesh in the first test, he finished with fantastic 110 from 152 and looked a million dollars.

Taijul Islam

Taijul Islam is Bangladesh’s best wicket-taker in this edition of the WTC, the left-arm orthodox spinner has scalped 24 wickets in five games and also has two five-wicket hauls to his name. The left-arm spinner crucial part of Bangladesh’s bowling attack with the pitch expected dry and take a lot of turn, right from day one or day two. However, In five innings against India, he has only scalped four wickets.
