After being humiliated in the first test, Bangladesh would seek retribution. India won the first test convincingly by 188 runs, and coach Rahul Dravid will be hopeful that his squad can continue to do the same in the 2nd test as well and finish the series on a high. Despite great progress in white-ball cricket, Bangladesh has struggled to exhibit consistency in the longest format. Their batting failed miserably in the first innings, they went on to show some grit in the second innings but it wasn’t good enough against the potent spin attack of Team India.

Twin centuries by Gill and Pujara ensured Bangladesh had a huge target to chase in the 2nd innings. A lot will rely on Shakib-Al-Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the 2nd Test, The Bangladesh Tigers will look to fight back hard in the 2nd test and level the series against the Indian side which looks extremely strong on paper. The 2nd test promises to be an exciting one and expect the ball to turn from day one at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
