India are leading the series 1-0 after a 188 runs victory in the first test. With Rohit Sharma being ruled out of the 2nd test, KL Rahul will continue to lead the side. Bangladesh did show some fight in the second innings but overall, they were way below par in all the departments After reducing the visitors to 48-3 in the first innings, they allowed India to post 404 on the board with some excellent batting by the Indian lower order.
Bangladesh were then bundled out for just 150 in their first innings and a huge target of 513 to chase in their second innings, they fought hard, with a century on debut by opener Zakir Hasan and some aggressive batting from captain Shakib Al Hasan (84), they eventually got all out for 324 and fell short of 188 runs. Senior players like Litton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim and Nurul Hasan need to stand up and contribute with bat in the 2nd test if they want to level the series against the India side which looks very strong on paper.
