The Indian squad won the second T20I comfortably, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s second T20I century, as they won their fourth T20I in a row against New Zealand. New Zealand lost 3-0 to India in a bilateral series last year in India, and also lost the second T20I after the first game was abandoned. When the two teams meet for the final T20I on Tuesday, November 22, New Zealand will attempt to win the game and draw the series. They will be without Kane Williamson and will be led by Southee. Let’s take a look at some of the big matchups before the game.

Finn Allen vs Arshdeep Singh

Finn Allen is considered one of the best young batters in the game. When he went after Mitchell Starc in New Zealand’s first game against Australia, he grabbed the T20 World Cup by storm. His start immediately placed Australia on the back foot. The way he played Starc, it would appear that he had a great record versus left-arm pacers, but that is not the case.

Shreyas Iyer vs Santner

In T20Is, Shreyas Iyer has faced 40 balls from Santner and scored 41 runs. Despite only being removed once by Santner, Iyer has failed to score runs off him. He’s only hit two sixes and a four against Santner. Iyer will like to change these figures in the third T20I in order to establish his place in the T20 setup with the next World Cup still a year away.

Hardik Pandya vs Ish Sodhi

In general, Hardik Pandya suffers against leg spinners, but his record against Sodhi is dismal. He has scored only 13 runs in 19 deliveries against Sodhi and has been removed three times by the bowler. Pandya has only ever struck one four against Sodhi in these 19 balls. When Pandya bats, don’t be surprised if Southee jumps into the game right away.
