On Sunday, January 15, the International League T20 (ILT20) will feature a match between the Desert Vipers (VIP) and the Sharjah Warriors (SJH) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. On paper, both squads appear to be well-balanced, so expect a close battle when the two teams meet on Sunday. Earning those two points will be high on both teams’ priority lists, as they will want to start their season on a high note.
The Playing XI can have a maximum of nine overseas players followed by at least one UAE local and one Associate player. All the matches in the tournament will take place in a round-robin format before the playoffs will decide the eventual champions. The six teams which will be participating are Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, Dubai Capitals, Sharjah Warriors and Desert Vipers. The tournament will see all the international players taking part in it and promises to be very entertaining along with some high-octane drama.
