Brisbane Heat Women will face Sydney Sixers Women in the 1st Match of Women’s Big Bash League 2022 at the Ray Mitchell Oval, Harrup Park, Mackay on Thursday. Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Sixers, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder are the eight teams which will feature in the tournament.
There will be a total of 56 matches in the double round-robin group stage. The round-robin stage will finish on November 20. Perth Scorchers will put their title on defence. They had defeated Adelaide Strikers by 12 runs in last year’s final. Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat are the joint-most successful teams in WBBL with two titles apiece.
