The eighth season of the Shpageeza Cricket League 2022 has been playing in Kabul which started on July 18 to August 5. Shpageeza Cricket League was formed by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) way back in 2013 and since then it has become a key tournament which features some renowned players from their country as well. Eight teams are playing in the tournament — Amo Sharks, Band-e Amir Dragons, Bost Defenders, Kabul Eagles, Mis Ainak Knights, Spinghar Tigers, Hindukhus Stars and Pamir Zalmi and a total number of 32 matches will be played in 19 days as well.
Kabul Eagles are the defending champions and they won their second title the last season as well. Kabul Eagles and Speenghar Tigers have been the most successful franchise in the league with two titles each to their name so far as well. However, Boost Defenders will play Amo Sharks in the 8th match of the Shpageeza Cricket League 2022 at Kabul International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, July 21. While Boost Defenders lost two games out of their last five, Amo Sharks could manage only a win out of their final five matches as well. However, it will be interesting to see how they perform in their next game.

There will be no LIVE TELECAST for the Shpageeza Cricket League 2022 in India. Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) and the Radio-Television of Afghanistan (RTA), however, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the production and broadcast of the Shpageeza Cricket League 2022. All the matches will be telecast on RTA in Afghanistan.
