Adelaide Strikers had retained the services of premier Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan for the BBL 2022-23.
The Big Bash League 2022-23 season will run from December 13 until the final on February 4, Cricket Australia announced on Thursday, which includes a 56-game regular season plus five finals matches. The season will be hosted across 17 different venues which includes three new grounds — Albury, Cazalys Stadium in Cairns, and North Sydney Oval.
The first game of this season will be played between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars on December 13 at the Manuka Oval. Defending champions Perth Scorchers, meanwhile, will begin their title defence on December 17 against Sydney Sixers. BBL 2022-23 will continue to be an eight-team T20 league which will see Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Stars, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Thunder, Brisbane Heat, and Sydney Sixers compete for the big prize.
