The Austria women vs Italy women T20I series will take place from August 17 to 20 at the Seebarn Cricket Centre in Lower Austria and it will be a five-match affair. The matches will take place on Wednesday, Thursday Friday and Saturday respectively. While Austria women last played in a quadrangular T20I series in France and eventually lost the match by 59 runs, for Italy, this will be their first T20I match in 2022.
Their last match was the 2021 Austria women’s tour of Italy as well. However, Their last T20I affair saw them register a narrow one-run win over Austria. Meanwhile, Italy defended their low total of 99/5 by restricting Austria to 98/8 in 20 overs as well. On the other hand, Austria women maintain a 3-2 lead over Italy in the head-to-head record as well. Notably, the results of this series will add to Austria and Italy’s points tally in the ICC Women’s T20I team rankings as well.
