The New Zealand tour of Australia 2022 will consist of a three-match ODI series. The series opener will be played on Tuesday at the Cazaly’s Stadium, Cairns while the second and third game will take place on Thursday and Sunday respectively. All the matches will be played at the same venue.

The trans-talisman clash will work as a perfect series to assess the conditions in Australia ahead of the 2022 T20 World Cup in October. Kane Williamson will lead the visitors while Australia captain Aaron Finch will lead the side in the series. “It’s a great rivalry we have with Australia; it’s always a huge occasion for the fans, and the team really look forward to it,” Williamson said. “You grow up watching the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy series and remembering the great battles, so to be part of another chapter is pretty special. We know how tough Australia are to beat in their own conditions and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
