The fifth match of the ongoing Asia Cup will take place between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Thursday, September 1. Sri Lanka started their campaign with a defeat against Afghanistan. On the other hand, Bangladesh too started their campaign against Afghanistan.

Sri Lanka had the worst possible start as they could manage 105 runs before getting all-out in 19.4 overs. B Rajapaksa top-scored with 38. While chasing, Afghanistan did an exceptional job and sealed the deal within 10.1 overs as well. Meanwhile, Bangladesh have failed to show consistency as their big players like Mahamadullah, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Shakib have failed to deliver in recent times. Their repetitive failures have led bowlers to take much of the responsibility. Against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh would like to see their senior players taking the charge.
