The ACC Women’s T20 Championship 2022, which is taking place after nine years with 10 teams, has been going on in full swing in Malaysia.
The ACC Women’s T20 Championship 2022, which is taking place after nine years with 10 teams, has been going on in full swing in Malaysia. It started on June 17 and will end on June 25. UAE, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Nepal, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Bahrain, Singapore, and Bhutan – these 10 teams have been divided into two groups and each team have to play 4 matches in their respective group in a round-robin format before the top 2 teams from each of the groups will play in the semi-finals on June 24. The final, however, will take place on June 25 at the Kinrara Oval and the two top teams will directly qualify for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup as well.

However, Hong Kong is currently placed at the top of the points table with 6 points to its name. They haven’t lost any game yet. On the other hand, Kuwait is placed at third in the points table after winning only one game and losing one whereas one game had no result as well. Hong Kong will take on Kuwait in their final league game and it will be interesting to see if they manage to keep their winning momentum on in the final game of Kuwait will have the last laugh.
