Boxer Vijender Singh Beniwal secured a comprehensive win against Eliasu Sulley of Ghana on his comeback to professional boxing after a gap of nineteen months.

Boxer Vijender Singh Beniwal secured a comprehensive win against Eliasu Sulley of Ghana on his comeback to professional boxing after a gap of nineteen months. He knocked out the opponent in the second round at ‘The Jungle Rumble’ held in Raipur of Chattisgarh. It took me about five minutes to turn the game into his favor after delivering a few heavy punches in round two. The current national West Africa Boxing Union Champion, Sulley had a 100% winning record in his professional career before going down to Vijender.

As an amateur, Vijender won the bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics 2008. He also clinched silver medals at the Commonwealth Games 2006 and 2014 and a bronze medal at the World Championships 2009 in the middleweight class. The boxer turned professional by signing a multi-year agreement with Queensberry Promotions through IOS Sports and Entertainment.

Vijender Singh, Pro Boxing Records: Wins & Losses

The Indian boxer has played 14 games at the professional level. Out of which, he has clinched victory in 13 games with a win percentage of 92.85. His first and only loss came against Russia’s Artysh Lopsan in Goa through a technical knockout in the fifth round.
