Fred VanVleet is an American professional basketball player who currently plays as a point guard for the Toronto Raptors in the NBA (National Basketball Association). Born on 25th February, 1999, 27-year old VanVleet stands at just 6ft 1, weighing approximately 89 kg. Fred VanVleet’s ability to handle the ball, amalgamated with his smartness has resulted in him emerging as one of the most exciting players to watch in the league.
VanVleet was born in Rockford, Illinois to parents Fred Manning and Susan. His father was killed when he was just 5 years old, so it was VanVleet’s mother who raised him all by herself. His high school basketball career started at Auburn, right in his hometown Rockford. VanVleet started playing for the Wichita State Shockers after joining the Wichita State University in 2016. He graduated in 2016 itself and made it to the 2016 NBA drafts as well. Unfortunately, VanVleet was not selected by any team that year. But soon after that, he went on to play in the NBA summer league with the Toronto Raptors, ultimately working his way up to the Raptors’ first team.
Shontai Neal and Fred VanVleet started dating way back in high school. And the fact that they have been in a relationship for so long is exactly what makes it so beautiful. According to sources, Shontai also attended Wichita State University at a time when her boyfriend VanVleet was also playing at the same college. Shontai studied at Wichita for four years where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management.
Not only that, Shontai was also a part of the various activities organized by the Black Student Union and Multicultural Student Mentor Program.

Apart from what she pursued in her graduation, Shontai Neal also worked as a waitress at Olive Garden during her college days. She worked at Olive Garden from 2011 to 2015 and then went on to serve the role of a front desk receptionist at The Inn at Tallgrass from 2015 to 2016. Neal’s job at The Inn required her to generate and guarantee a fun and happy atmosphere.
