The Sports Authority of Thailand hosted the official signing ceremony for 3BL Thailand on February 28, 2022, between BSAT and YKBK (Thailand). The National Olympic Committee of Thailand’s deputy secretary general, Gen. Ronnachai Munchusoontornkul, Mr. Yoshiya Kato, chairman of 3BL and YKBK (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Ms. Nittaya Kerdjuntuk, director of the Office of the Professional Sports Committee of the Sports Authority of Thailand, Mr. David Crocker, executive director of FIBA, Mr. Nipond Chawalitmonthien, president. “The signing of cooperation is for establishing the 3×3 professional basketball league in Thailand, called the 3BL Thailand League, between the Basketball Sport Association of Thailand and YKBK (Thailand), after discussions have been made for more than half a year,” said Mr. Yoshiya Kato, chairman of 3BL and YKBK (Thailand). YKBK (Thailand) and Thai basketball will launch the 3BL Thailand League with an eye on an Olympic place.
The Basketball Sport Association of Thailand and YKBK (Thailand), who organize the 3×3 professional basketball league known as the 3BL Thailand League, have signed a cooperation agreement. This is significant because it is a significant event on the 3×3 basketball world tour, according to Mr. Nipond Chawalitmonthien, president of the Basketball Sport Association of Thailand. The sport is highly known and much-liked all across the world. It is significant to note that 3×3 basketball is currently an Olympic sport and was played at the Olympic Games 2020. I’m thrilled to be working with other parties to help Thailand host the competition on behalf of the Basketball Sports Association of Thailand. The Thai basketball players will receive points for the international ranking system, additional money, and experience in honing their talents.
