Memphis Hustle will take on the Westchester in the NBA G matchup on Tuesday night. Santa Cruz Warriors forward Lester Quinones scored a game-high 24 points in Friday night’s 122-118 loss to G League Ignite at Kaiser Permanente Arena. Quinones added five rebounds and his teammate Gisantos followed closely behind with 18 points. Santa Cruz center Trevion Williams finished the night with a double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists. Center Jace Johnson finished the night with 15 points and 7 rebounds off the Santa Cruz bench. Ignite guard Pooh Jeter had a team-high 22 points and his six assists in appearances off the bench, while center Eric Mika had 12 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Forward Leonard Miller had 13 points and 5 rebounds for the Ignite.
Ignite started the game 11-0 and in the second quarter, he secured a 34-20 lead. The Warriors narrowed it down to his 6 points in the second quarter, but his 15 points from Jeter in the first half allowed Ignite to hold onto his 67-59 lead going into halftime. Ignite went into the final frame with Sea Dubs leading him 97-90. Warriors guard Dusty Hannah back-to-back 3-point shots midway through the fourth quarter gave them their first lead of the contest at 112-109. Sea Dubs were trailing 120-118 with 32 seconds remaining. However, Jeter’s jump shot secured Ignite’s victory. Santa Cruz will travel to Las Vegas to face Fort Wayne and Capital City in his final two games of the 2022 AT&T Winter Showcase.
